This might be the "missing link" for the similarities between the Store Brands and Valvoline/Castrol. Looks like they use the same ADDITIVE COMPANY for their add packs.


Pro Line, Auto Zone and Advance Auto oils are made by Warren Performance Products (not the same Warren mentioned in my previous post) which is the same as the Super Tech oil sold in much of the rest of the country, but not the Super Tech from that same test, which is an Exxon-Mobil product.


"Warren" does not "make" any oil....they only buy the base oils and then bottle the oil for distribution. The oils with the high sodium content all appear to use the same add pack as what is used in Castrol and Valvoline. I wonder who makes the add pack?

Then by your definition, neither does Amsoil, or most of the other oil companies that don't own their own additive companies.

The two Warren's are no different from Castrol or Valvoline in this respect.
