Our '10 Fusion does, but it's simply a counter. Goes off after 6 months/7500 miles.

I think it gives a warning @ 5%, then another at 0%. I would imagine that you can do a system check at any time (like older Fords) and check the status, but I don't know for sure.

You better be kidding. As far as the oil... Pennzoil Conventional is fine...but the Motorcraft is a Ford product.

I was killing time before catching a plane out of Houston, Texas earlier this week and I saw a Ford dealer with many new Fusions on the lot. I took a good look and I really like the car (it's really nice in red). The only thing I don't like (which applies to virtually all car brands today) is the 17" low profile tires that come as standard. I feel they will be expensive to replace when the time comes (as opposed to basic 15" tires like 205/65/15).
The Fusion is a very, very nice car,IMO.

Run whatever oil you want that meets the viscocity and brand-specific approvals (if neccesary) that your car needs.
In other words, read your owners manual, and follow what it says to a T - you will be fine.
Pennzoil Conventional is a fine conventional oil. MC is a great blend for your money. Any 5w-20 will probably meet the required spec's for your car and give you the required protection.

its a fine choice, but if you are changing it your self mc is almost the same price at wal mart. and its a blend.
but why not syn? the prices are right on PP and mobil at wal mart. i think PP is like 20 for a 5 qt jug. with the 3.67 for the mc filter thats still cheaper than anything at an oil change shop.
if it were me i would use a quality syn from a company you trust. its a brand new car, stop as much wear as you can and protect your investment.
