Has anybody noticed that Peak oil is starting to turn up nearly everywhere? Most of the chain autoparts stores carry it now. I've seen it at my local Publix, Big Lots, etc. Who else is selling Peak oil now? Seems they're trying to move their product anywhere they can, I think I see it more than the big names now.

My local AZ stopped selling it, so I picked up 6 10w40 5.28 quart jugs for $18.
I run Peak conventional whenever it is cheap. Great stuff. Big Lots and Kinney Drugs run 2qt/$5 specials every other month up here.

I see my local AZ is clearing it out at $3.15 a quart (which is strange since it was on sale for $2.99 last month).
I have an odd number of 5w20 qts. that I got on sale and was wondering if this oil is close enough to WM ST (also made by WPP) to mix them so I have enough for 2 OCI's. What's the consensus?

Yup. People say that Ultra came back and I made a visit to two wally words near me and neither carry it. As well as that they put it on clearance months ago because it DOESNT SELL

AAP by me had clearance stickers on the Peak Synthetic. Wasn't marked down much though.

$4.xx / QT
$19.xx / 5 QT jug

I was just at the dump getting rid of my used oil next to some others and the packaging is a complete clone. I would feel totally safe.

Peak's claim to fame, and wide distribution, must be it's a nickel cheaper than other brands. Probably also easy for the oil factory to scale up or down as needed.

I would look on QPI America.com to see the add packs similarity

I just notice that every Peak product seems to have duck dynasty branding on it...

Nothing like soaking the duck calls in motor oil for proper performance. I wonder what weight they recommend...

My local Rite-Aid Pharmacy is also selling PEAK oil and Global Life Time Coolant(GOLD JUG-50/50).

The Peak oil is ~ $6/qt(YIKES!) but, the PGLT is only $13.99/gal(on par with PGLT-50/50 @ Walgreen's Pharmacy).

Yes, Rite Aid has gone to stocking dusty bottles of Peak as their vastly overpriced motor oil no one ever buys and they never put on sale. The local ones here have synthetic and high mileage as well...

The AAP store on Babcock in San Antonio has a sale of Peak quarts for $3 each, or a 5 quart jug for $16. I don't know if this is a chain-wide sale, or just that store.

Just picked up two 5qt jugs of the 5w30 Synthetic PEAK for $18 per, at local AAP. At this price, I will purchase a synthetic, any day.

^are fawkin kidding me?!?

Anyways... Oreilly's has 5 qt jugs of Peak conventional and a Microguard filter on sale for 13.99.. Great price for a beater car!!

I know, I tried to get another couple jugs today but every AAP was sold out. They did honor the price by offering me five single quart bottles at the same price. Even those were almost gone. I also noticed the Dexos certification as well.
