It is time to do cooling system flush and refill in my son and daughters cars. One of the cars is a 1992 Toyota Camry V6 the other a 1996 Honda Accord Vtec 4. Both cars had the timing belts and water pumps replaced two years ago and at the time the two different garages a Toyota specialist and Honda/Acura specialist used low silcate green anti-freeze. I specifically asked the Honda specialist about using a silcate anti-freeze in the Honda engine and they stated as long as the anti-freeze is flushed and re-filled every two years or 24k miles there is no problem. I also have a 1995 Ford 460 V-8 that is running G-05 and 1997 V6 Blazer with G-05, and a 2002 Chevy Avalanche with original Dex-cool. I'd like to simplify things and use only one anti-freeze going forward and am considering the Peak Global Lifetime product. Is this a good choice going forward, will it be a good choice in all of the engines listed? I understand Peak Global lifetime is an organic acid technology, but it is a non 2-EH (dex-cool) product. As I have read through past post on antifreeze I have read comments about either the phosphate or silcate based products providing a quick corrosion protection and the organic acid inhibitors taking several thousand miles to provide protection in the case of piece of grit nicking the protective layer. I mention all of this because a couple of cars are used infrequently and will sometime sit for extended amounts of time. Without phosphate or silicate how does the Peak Global lifetime provide the quick protection?

If Peak Global lifetime is not a good choice for all the engines how about Zerex G-05 would it be a better choice?
Or am I be better off keeping the 92 Toyota and the 96 Honda with a low silcate generic antifreeze from Advanced Auto or Pep boys and sticking with the 2 year flush and refill schedule?

Thanks in advance

From my experience...you should continue to use what ever the car has been using or what the manufacturer put in it in the first place.

...turns out..."Prestone's All Makes, All Models" isn't worth the plastic bottle its printed on....I wouldn't use anything that says "all makes all models" printed on it ever again...and matter a fact...I will never use anything by Prestone ever again.
