A heads up, Peak has changed their 10x into a Dex-Clone instead of the previous pHOAT formula:

It looks like the non-2-EHA pHOAT inhibitor package lives on in Peak EcoShield and a new Peak Titanium on OWI’s website. For those who are avoiding 2-EHA, you have been warned. It might not matter in many cases.

I’m going to use Peak Final Charge Pro Series in my Toyota applications, my test car using Prestone hasn’t lost coolant, but I’m switching another car I had Cor-Guard in to Final Charge. I noticed a mysterious coolant level drop in a year and half - it might be evaporation FWIW but knowing Toyota’s love of RTV FIPG to seal water passages(or almost 20 year old radiator tank seals/bypass gaskets about to cry uncle) I can’t be sure.

Peak Final Charge Pro = phosphated OAT sans 2EHA, nitrates, borates, silicates, etc

17.50/gal concentrate at NAPA this month. 16.50 for 50/50.

If you hurry, your local ACE Hardware store should still have some remaining stock of the old formulation PEAK 10X (not new 10+) 50/50% pre-diluted gallons available. They are on sale for $7.99 if you have an ACE Hardware Rewards card. Limit of 2 gallons for each rewards member. Might also be eligible for a $5/gal. rebate from PEAK/Old World Industries.

2EHA for the win!! Oh yeah!!

This is really a unique formulation. Historically, Peak had Potassium 2EHA in their Long Life coolant and Prestone used Sodium 2EHA in their formulation. But this one has both, first time I've ever seen that. It's like a Peak/Prestone cocktail. And so much for needing phosphates, those are gone in this latest update. Everyone wants to get a hold of the last of the old 10X formula. What if this update is superior? I always felt 2EHA was the holy grail of inhibitors.

2EHA. Nature’s perfect corrosion inhibitor. Sixteen years and 260,000 miles with Dexcool. Original water pump, rad and heater core. I may have jinxed myself!
It’s cheap and proven by the Europeans, Ford and GM. But it doesn’t like silicone. There’s a 3M FKM marketing brochure that said FKM is the best material to seal with Dex-Cool.

That said, I’m running Cor-Guard on a Sienna that I used Toyota’s specified ThreeBond 1282B for a valley plate reseal. No coolant loss beyond normal evaporative topping off. The Prius was on Cor-Guard but I flushed it out for 10X. That was resealed with Permatex Right Stuff 90 Minute, which might hold up to 2-EHA better than the factory RTV.

I believe the title to be at the least, deceiving. Being familiar with the Peak AF line up, what I see being shown is Peak LL AMM yellow label which has ALWAYS used 2eha. Apparently Peak just using 10+ now on the label. Note doesn't say "10X" on the label. Much like the color/tint of the AF being an unreliable indicator of chemistry/ coolant type, same goes for the AF bottle label color here.

Now for the rest of the story. It appears Peak/OW has now 'replaced' 10X with it's new "Titanium" AF which is "STILL" 2eha free and has the extended service interval.

Seems 10X no 2eha still available, just look for the 10X on the bottle if wanted. As an aside, having contacted Peak./Old World about the "P" in 10X, they replied, while 10X contained 'some 'P' is was not near the level of their true Asian PHOAT OET AF.

Unless I missed it, color isn't indicated.
Not the point intended. It's was a comparison of AF color/tint being an unreliable indicator of chemistry/AF type, to the topic Peak Long Life bottle/jug color similarity to 10X bottle color also clearly unreliable to which Peak AF. Perhaps it could have been worded better, but that was point. As for color/tint of new Titanium, not important to me. Though I 'think' current 10X the same. I know Peak Global Lifetime is. All that said, main point topic and long time Peak LL AF is not 10X, nor (with the new Peak Titanium AF still with no 2eha) its replacement.
