Peak 10X is no longer a pHOAT.

I believe the title to be at the least, deceiving. Being familiar with the Peak AF line up, what I see being shown is Peak LL AMM yellow label which has ALWAYS used 2eha. Apparently Peak just using 10+ now on the label. Note doesn't say "10X" on the label. Much like the color/tint of the AF being an unreliable indicator of chemistry/ coolant type, same goes for the AF bottle label color here.

Now for the rest of the story. It appears Peak/OW has now 'replaced' 10X with it's new "Titanium" AF which is "STILL" 2eha free and has the extended service interval.

Seems 10X no 2eha still available, just look for the 10X on the bottle if wanted. As an aside, having contacted Peak./Old World about the "P" in 10X, they replied, while 10X contained 'some 'P' is was not near the level of their true Asian PHOAT OET AF.

This is not correct, Peak All Vehicles is the replacement for 10X. Please reference the Product Description in the link below, the last sentence says "Formerly PEAK 10X."

The 10X that is still available is just remaining inventory in the market, it will eventually just be All Vehicles. 2EHA for the win!

Is 2EHA really an issue with modern vehicles anymore? I know it doesn't matter in Hyundai. Used O'Reilly brand AMAM for 200,000 miles is a 2012 Santa Fe with no issues. These days, it isn't hard to get an OEM branded anti-freeze, like Peak OEM. Do a complete flush and use concentrate to get back to 50/50 with any of them and most vehicles will be fine. My .02.

I stand corrected. That said, 'imo' with the new Titanium AF still with no 2eha (same as 10X) I don't agree with Peak/OWI decision to call Peak Long Life AF with 2eha, "formerly 10X". In any case, 'I' would not use LL it as I would 10X. Otoh, what I can see with descriptors of the new no 2eha Titanium AF, 'I' would use that as the direct replacement for 10X. All I can figure, OWI decided new recommended service interval (10+) LL AF to be the priority in "formerly" statement. That as opposed to actual chemical/inhibitor make up, 2eha LL vs none for Titanium.

I found this form which is linked through the O'Reilly's site; however, the form makes no mention of the rebate being limited to purchases made at O'Reilly's. Edit: Oops, looks like CK beat me to the punch.

PEAK 10X Rebate Form
Tried buying at ACE and submitting the rebate online and got denied with no reason mentioned.

The purchase as entered is not eligible for promotion.

I bought 2 gallons at ACE Hardware and submitted the form via U.S. postal mail last week. Received an email yesterday that said the submission was rejected as being ineligible for the rebate. It looks like the rebate is only effective for PEAK purchases made at O'Reilly's.

I am thinking of playing around with the website to see what values input would get me past where I got enough to post the information help someone else here.

If you play around with the website and pick O'Reilly's it works. I also tried Ace Hardware online and increasing the purchasing price at Ace, neither of which worked.

I did that too-I'm waiting to see if it sneaks through or not!

If you have silicone in the form of RTV or molded sealing bead on a gasket, 2-EHA is a concern. After all, the original IMGs in GM’s L31 Vortec 350 and the 3.1/3.4/3.8/4.3L V6s used a nylon carrier with silicone sealing beads. Dex-Cool attacked the silicone.

ThreeBond and Permatex(at least for the Optimum series) says they have RTV that handles OAT coolants. And now Subaru is having Prestone package their coolant.

yeah, but check the bottles first. They could be the old 10X or the new one :sneaky:
True.

The Harbor Freight and Amazon Prime product photos online show 10X, not 10+, but that might just be out of date photos. Their prices look discounted to me. So that makes me think maybe they have new old stock 10X on sale.

My cousin is going to go to Harbor Freight to try to buy 10X for his Chevys. I bought All Vehicles Titanium a couple days ago for my Buick.

Sayjac....Do you think this new PEAK 'Titanium' is just the 10X rebranded? I have a few gallons of the non
2-EHA concentrate so I'm good for a while but I'm curious if it's the same as the new Titanium stuff.

Titanium is good, too. When I saw it on Amazon last week, it said 1-2 month wait! So I went to Walgreens and got PGL 50/50 premix since it was on sale. I saw one 10X (50/50) at Lowes, but one bottle isn't enough

Now that I went on Amazon again, it says it'll be delivered next week! There's only one left in stock anyway, so it still wouldn't be enough.

I don't really know for sure, and I've tried emailing them multiple times on it and given up. They used to be very responsive to email queries. That aside, I'm going to say that 'perhaps' a somewhat improved version of 10X.That that said, I think 10X is an excellent no 2eha OAT AF. And I think PGL still a solid no 2eha AF option too, and Amazon now selling it in concentrate.
