PCV for 5.4L Ford

I have replaced the PCV valve in my wife's 5.4L Ford Expedition with PCV valves from both Advance Auto and AutoZone. I read on several posts that MC PCV valves make a big difference, so I bought one several weeks ago at the Ford dealership. The MC PCV valve comes with a grommet to replace the original.

I finally got around to replacing it several days ago and I am amazed at the difference. Much less noise on start-up with smoother and lower idle. I wish that I had done this weeks ago. It was surprising how much of a difference a little PCV valve can make!!

I wish more would heed that advice. We would get complaints of "tapping/rattling" noises and intermittent rough idles on a consistant basis. First thing you ck is the PCV and chances are some quick lube sold them an aftermarket valve during an oil change.
