Buzzing F150 solved

I replaced the PCV in my 97 F150 with a 5.4L a while back with a Napa part. Last week I noticed a humm or buzz at idle that drove me nuts. I tracked it down to the PCV. I could put my hand on it and feel the vibration. I replaced it with a Motorcraft from Ford and the problem is solved. It must of been the little ball rattling in the PCV. The Napa was metal and the Motorcraft was plastic. I guess it pays to go with OEM for some things.

I experienced this exact phenomenon when using either Fram or Purolator PCV valves on my '97 Silverado. AC-Delco PCV cured the buzz.
