Iraq had been our enemy for a long time and a threat to the region as a whole. I've never heard that fact argued on either side. I think your assertion that the invasion was not warranted because Iraq was not our enemy is misplaced. A debate of the invasion based on a perceived or known threat has much more merit, in my opinion.quote:
Maybe this will be the wake up call needed to let people know that Al Quida is our enemy, not Iraq.
take a map of the middle east... throw a dart at it... blow up where the dart lands. that seems about as logical as beheading random american civilians. I was glad to see the ringleader get his just desserts.quote:

Good point, except I doubt the Frecch and a few others would do that.quote:
I would think it prudent for all western countries to remove their civilians from the middle east.
They can't survive without western expertise in many areas. Maybe a shortage of western expertise will give these nations a desire to clean up the minority of barbaric evildoers that walk among them.
I guess that would leave them open as the next round of hostages then.quote:

Personally, I think we need to see graphic pictures once in a while to remind us of the kinds of low lifes with which we're dealing.
