Maybe this will be the wake up call needed to let people know that Al Queda is our enemy, not Iraq. Too bad we don't have any troops to send after them since they are all tied up in Iraq.

It is a very sad day. I feel very sorry for those in his family and those among his friends.

Terrible, terrible news. Once again: terror from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq.

Very sorry for the man's friends and family.

MR

I'm thinking terror IN Saudi Arabia, not from. Just terrible, that's all. To be expected from savages.

The guy's kids were pleading and begging. Those idiot terrorists....they aren't accomplishing anything really, they could have garnered, at least, even more support from the rest of the world if they would have let him go. OTOH, Europe won't do anything, after all the dead guy was American. He deserved to die.

We have to fight this enemy.....we must be smart about it. Not sure if that group of people is in office or the group running for office are up to the job.

Anyone know about PR in Saudi Arabia? Didn't think so. They will blame this on Jews.

Iraq had been our enemy for a long time and a threat to the region as a whole. I've never heard that fact argued on either side. I think your assertion that the invasion was not warranted because Iraq was not our enemy is misplaced. A debate of the invasion based on a perceived or known threat has much more merit, in my opinion.

Some cultures are more advanced than others. Beheadings, state sponsored rape parties, torture chambers are just more proof that the Middle East is still a very barbaric and primitive culture as a whole. Very third or even fourth world.

My assertation is that we should be going after Al Queda instead of Iraq. We started to go after Bin Laden and Company, but money and troops were diverted to the invasion of Iraq. Had we actually attempted to finish that job, we may not be in the position that we are in now.

Scott P,
Now I understand your stance and while I don't necessarily agree with it, I appreciate your opinion.

It's about time we kick some more IslamoFacist butt, guys.

Track these low-life's down and kill them on the spot.

God, this is grotesque. How can ANYONE would want to bargain or be diplomatic with them. They want to kill EVERY American, Democrat or Republican. Like a killer hornet's nest next to your house, if you don't get them first, they'll get you.

There's photos at the link below...caution: VERY graphic.

I pray that no others are put in this situation any longer. These venomous mislead killers need to die and die quickly.

Is anyone besides me get the feeling that the clock is ticking for us to be hit again? If we don't disable them/kill them first, many more Americans will die, either one at a time like Paul or Nick, or thousands at a time by planned plots. Where are the stolen propane trucks? The 100+ suitcase-nukes from Russia? I hope to God we find these things first before they find us.

I'm starting to think the overkill model needs to be brought into play. to the point that another hostage dies... an entire city gets wiped out. but short of that, I don't think there is anything that will stop Al-Qaeda and their supporters esp since in their eyes, we are the devil. and if we're the devil, unleash **** .

Brett, which cities, and where ?

Al Qaeda seemed to be pretty well contained in Afghanistan (except, obviously for operatives) until fairly recently.

Who would you bomb ? A city in Iraq ? Saudi Arabia ?

I would think it prudent for all western countries to remove their civilians from the middle east.

They can't survive without western expertise in many areas. Maybe a shortage of western expertise will give these nations a desire to clean up the minority of barbaric evildoers that walk among them.

Since Saudi isn't bound by Political correctness, why don't they publically execute the very Al Queda prisoners they were trying to trade for.

To fight Al Queda, we would have to hit Iran, Syria, Pakistan etc. We have brought them out in Iraq and the more they stick their heads out of the sand the more we can cut them off.

Looks like the Al Quaeda head honcho in Saudi has been killed while getting rid of the body. Too bad he and his buddies went quickly, I would have liked to have seen them forced to eat their own entrails like sausage.

take a map of the middle east... throw a dart at it... blow up where the dart lands. that seems about as logical as beheading random american civilians. I was glad to see the ringleader get his just desserts.

Things will never change.

This reminds me of the first 100 years of the United States.....slaughtering of native american families, barbaric slave beatings, etc..

It just moves from one part of the globe to another.

One thing I don't quite understand is posting links showing the beheading or similar type pictures. We all know we are dealing with low lifes that need to be eradicated. Personally I believe the pictures are so graphic that people shouldn't post links to them.

Good point, except I doubt the Frecch and a few others would do that.

Personally, I think we need to see graphic pictures once in a while to remind us of the kinds of low lifes with which we're dealing.

i think the troops in afganistan getting shot at while chasing taliban and getting no press attention would disagree.

I guess that would leave them open as the next round of hostages then.

Seems that anyone fitting the western description is a target, so I'd say get all the civilians out of there.

I agree also.

We need the entire debacle left transparent.

Censorship (on either side) is bad news.
