Parts Plus PH 48 CUT OPEN

Here we have a Parts Plus ph-48 off of a CHEVROLET MALIBU. It is a 2014 and had Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 SM in it for 8,000~ MILES. Enjoy pics

Oh yeah: the spring is bigger than any others I have saw before. The close up shows this I surely hope. Kinda has baseplate look of a AC delco Classic if you ask me also

Zee: it's a medium color blue. Yeah for a China made filter I was surprised.

car51: How do you feel about Silicone v nitrile ADBVs? Most of the filters you post with nitrile seem to hold up fine even approaching 10,000 miles.

Fordai, nitrile holds up, the real problem is they get too stiff on cold starts and also may not seal well when cold.

Fordai: I personally like the silicone myself. From using MC filters on my car; never a issue. Now I have a FRAM TG-3614 and no issues. Then I'll put a FU-3614 on as they are pretty stout and efficient
