I had a leftover jug of Mobil 1 Truck and SUV oil I'd gotten at Walmart a year ago. When I heard about spotty stocking on this oil, which I use for low mileage annual OCIs, I figured I'd grab a couple more. For a few weeks Walmart was out of stock, but when it returned to their online store at the regular price for home delivery, I ordered 2.
Anyway, I noticed the packaging looked a little different. We all know that's not unusual in that industry, so I didn't think much about it until I looked closer. Although they have the same product number, the claims on the jugs vary, some of them drastically so. I'm curious if this product changed on paper or if they altered the formula. If so, is it still as shear stable as it was? Hard to say without a VOA, but I figured I'd share regardless. For reference, the older jug is the one with earth tone labeling and the new one is in black and white labeling.
