We have a '03 Impala 3.4 showing code of P0137 (oxygen Sensor).

My question is should it matter if I get a Bosch or Denso or AC Delco brand? I read elsewhere that GM 3.4s are anal when it comes to any other brand of O2 sensor being used. Why should it matter? I'm confused.

PS: this would be my first time changing one in any of my cars I've had.

"Low voltage" is a little wierd, I'd probe the sensor you have and make sure it's really dead and not a wiring fault upstream.

Thanks. I just ordered a Denso from a site; I knew GM didn't make their own filters, never thought about sensors and the like.

Hopefully it cures your problem.
O2 codes are often thrown for incidental reasons.
'Low Voltage' could be that the O2 is perfect, but another problem causes it to read low.

Depends on the part.

Seems like every MAP, TPS, and temperature sensor was built by Delphi.

When you get one of the Toyota or Honda powered cars, you find that nearly every sensor is a Denso.

According to the tracking information it should be here ealy next week. I bought a O2 Sensor socket from AZone. Should I be able to just put it up on front jackstands to get to the sensor?
