Does anybody know of an oversized filter for a Fram 3600? The can has to be the same width to fit, so possibly just longer. I haven't had any luck searching. Thanks!

Nope the XG3600 is a huge filter already. You can go fatter with the XG8A but the 3600 is a fine filter which is already oversized for many applications

In that diameter, the 3600 is as big as they get ...
One more thing you could do is change the thread from 3/4 to 1" and see if you can find a filter that meets your needs.
We have done this on my Suzuki and my old drag car. Juat get an adapter made like this but in the threads and size you want

The 3600 is already bigger than a whole lot of others, you're good.
Fram PH or TG8316's will work as an alternative to 3600's, though for Fram's designs this is a downsize rather than an upsize.
Other brands including the Wix equivalents numbered *1315 are around the same length as the 3600, but probably have a smaller filter media inside to accommodate the anti-siphon valve, as well as the higher burst pressure rating of the metal housing.

The 1315/8316 is also almost impossible to find. In fact, Purolator no longer makes the L25230. Walmart stopped carrying the TG8316, and Napa's 1315 stock is at least two years old, if not older! And when you do, they are much more expensive than the 1516/3600. So they're only worth seeking out if you have a Zetec or diesel Liberty where you actually need the anti-siphon, but then I'd only order Wix (regular or XP) or Hastings LF483 from Rock Auto's regular inventory, or perhaps a German Mann W719/27 from eBay or something. If you're lucky, you can find a recent-stock M1-211, but it will cost much more than Rock Auto's Wix or Hastings. (also, DO NOT BUY the clearance M1-21 from Rock Auto--they are from 2008 and NOT safe to use!)

Pep Boys still has the TG8316's for their same price as the TG3600, but you're right that they're not really necessary. They do make for slightly less messy sideways-mounted filter changes on my Lexus, though.

Most of the TG8316's I got when Walmart cleared them out were from 2012 or later- except two of them which apparently were on the shelf since 2003(?).
From back when Fram still wrapped their filters in plastic wrap, and still recommended 3000 mile OCIs.
If only I could offload these things on Rockauto.
