Overheat problem..leads to no start...Please help

Relay can function but be weak... Pick up a new one and replace your existing one. They are cheap for that car (as far as I remember) and is the easiest way to troubleshoot them.

I still think you are going to need the solenoid I explained earlier...
 
I'm just skimming the posts so I might have missed it.

But does the engine crank over but not start? Or does the engine just not crank over?

It seems like all the replies assume the engine doesn't crank over.....

Is there even a clicking sound when you attempt to start it in these situations? If there is no click at all I would say that the problem lies with the starter solenoid or the wire that activates it. If there is a click but the engine does not turn, then the problem could STILL be the solenoid, the starter motor itself, the starter's connection to the block, or the hot wire coming from the battery to the starter.
