ordering a battery from BatteryMart or Amazon

A replacement battery replaced under warranty generally only has the remainder of the first warranty. Why would they give away the house?

You should get same specs, though, as far as CCA and reserve capacity.

I agree it is just that I have read on some Forums where people think they should get the same battery that was in the vehicle...with the same warranty thus getting another 3 or more years...I don't see how any manufacturer could do that and remain in business...

I will add that the battery replacement was done by the previous owner on his Interstate battery and that the Ford F150 it went in to has two battery options and perhaps the installer either didn't have the same Interstate to replace in that level or just checked the lower replacement options...

In any case, when I got it and after a particularly rough Winter, I replaced the battery with a Walmart Everstart Maxx that was made by the same company as the Interstate (Johnson Controls) and was about $15 less than the same Interstate on sale at Costco...

I ordered 2 Optima red tops from Amazon. One came just manufactured, one was a year old. I tried to return the year old one but Amazon didn't want it back. They ended up letting me keep it for $20. For $20 it was worth my time and both are still in my truck.

Last 2 - 3 batteries I have purchased were at Walmart . Can you order a battery cheaper than Walmnart sells them ?
i did the same at walmart when mine failed. i was stranded waiting for my insurance to send somebody, a girl gave me a jumpstart. straight to walmart and install. on my 2005 buick century, 100 bucks including tax and great warranty
