opti 2 ???

can someone please tell me what opti 2 is. 20 years ago i used to buy an oil called optimol which i thought was a synthetic, then i think it was rebranded "opti 2". checking their website says it's not a syn, but since you can run it 100:1, it must be a mineral miracle that no other manufacturer markets

Opti 2 is a marketing scam. A better choice would be Mobil MX2T.

facts slick facts. i have used this oil for 20 years at 100:1 and have NEVER seen better looking engine internals. NEVER fouled a spark plug. used in mc culloch, stihl, husky, briggs (robin) homelite, tecumseh and echo. fuel never seems to go stale either

Donm't know but I am currently running Opti-4 in my 4 stroke dirtbike (10W-40). I think it is a petroleum oil as well.

Opti-2 is a petroleum based oil, not a synthetic. I got this right from one of their tech support guys. I had some problems with Opti-2 not mixing very well with the gas. It seemed to separate. I didn't have good luck with it.

I have some of each in my garage. If someone wants it, they can have it if you will pay for the shipping. If not it's going in a waste oil tank this spring.

On my lawn equipment, using the opti-4, after the first oil change doubles the engine warranty for my mowers. (Both Kohler & Kawasaki)

c'mom gurus, this is 100:1 mineral mix, how can they do it and the others can't

The website doesn't mention anything about 100:1 that I can see. I wouldn't run it at 50:1 much less 100:1.

the bottle says 1.3 ozs per US gallon or per 4 litres. so 1.3 ozs optimol to 128 ozs of fuel (ozs in a US gallon) is approximately 100:1. i remember the old bottle i had recommended 100:1, but maybe they find it easier to just mention the quantities.
I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS STUFF IS, come on, someone must know

tmorris i have quoted DIRECTLY from the newly purchased made in USA opti 2 bottle. anyhow, are these 2 different animals or just a re vamped name
