I want to mix M1 5-30 with mobil 5000 10-30 to make my own mix....i'm going to mix 5 qts of the M1 with 2qts 5000.I feel this is a better blend than i can buy.ANY THOUGHTS on this? TY

I'd stick with Mobil 1 and mix the 5w30 and 10w30 viscosities in the ratio that you want. Why put petroleum base in the very good synthetic base of the Mobil 1?

because i want both...i want a blend...best of both worlds.I have been using mobil 7500....but i figure i can mix my own.

Good point, then try this:

1 quart Redline 5w30
3 quarts Mobil 1 10w30
3 quarts Mobil 5000 5w30

This is a healthy blend of Groups II, III, IV, and V basestocks. Can't get any more mixed up than that!
