That's a Walmart only tire-isn't it?The price listed on Walmart site is about $118 off for 4 without a mail in rebate, so a little better deal, have to see if a local place will price match.

Most of your view is misinformed. OK-how many years ago did you run any of these tires?I always use Costco for tires. If that's an option, you'll get a better tire and deal than WalMart.
I stay away from Hankook, Nitto, Goodyear, most Bridgestones, Firestone and especially Kuhmo. Weird imported name tires that are "just the same as" or "made in the same factory as" are to be avoided. Imported junk.
A quality Michelin is going to be #1, Pirelli makes some great tires. Conti and Yokohama often have great choices too.
The majority of cabin noise is from the tires, on a newer smooth stretch of highway, it is very quiet. Those tires are decent-but yes they are noisy. Of course-the vehicle in question is noisy as well.
Hankook is the only tire I put at the curb at 10k - and felt guilty when someone took them …I replaced the Hankook original tires with Continentals. Transformed the 2019 CR-V EX-L. On another freakin' level.
Thanks, that's the kind of upgrade I'm looking for.I replaced the Hankook original tires with Continentals. Transformed the 2019 CR-V EX-L. On another freakin' level.
That’s what I find in rent cars …The majority of cabin noise is from the tires, on a newer smooth stretch of highway, it is very quiet.
They do have a fair amount of tread left, but are bottom tier, so don't mind looking early and maybe get lucky and score a decent deal.5-6/32 is a lot of tread, unless you can sell them I would wait until clearance or sales hit Walland and the others and change them out then.
1-2psi a week is nothing, likely bead or rim, just overinflate 5-10 psi and drive on
I'm a little undecided on going with all weather, we live in a very small town, a speed limit of 25, no traffic light's, just a few stop signs. We watch the weather close before leaving town. The majority of the miles we drive are longer 60 to 170 mile trips, so would like a tire that is suited best for that. The only time we ever get caught off guard is from low hanging fog that deposits moister on the below freezing roads causing ice, the weather channel has a tough time predicting freezing fog.In North Dakota, you should consider all weather tires
Nokian WRG5
Nordman Solstice 4 (the old WRG4)
Toyo Celsius II
General 365AW
Cooper Enduramax
If you don't want to spend too much money:
Milestar AW365
Prinx Hiseason 4S HS1
Fortune Climaflex 4S FSR402. It seems to be the cheapest all-weather tire in your size
If you still prefer name brand tires but are waiting for a rebate or sale, you might be able to wait for Memorial Day sales
1 psi in 2 weeks isn't that bad, but of course it could always get worse. Since your Honda has indirect TPMS, you don't have to worry about sensors, and thus you can use slime. If you do, remember to tell them about it when you replace the tires![]()
The Continental TrueContact Tour 54 is not a Walmart only tire, I see it listed on other tire stores online page with a similar starting price of $205That's a Walmart only tire-isn't it?
Probably getting pirelli scorpion AS plus 3's this week.I’m in the same situation as OP and will buy new tires.
Rainy season starts soon and can hold off but feel better with new tires.
I kinda thought if I was to select one tire brand from good experiences, it'd be Continental.Conti is a respected brand and I've had good tires from them.
AND keep checking!just overinflate 5-10 psi and drive on
You sound ready to buy. They do have a fair amount of tread left, but are bottom tier, so don't mind looking early and maybe get lucky and score a decent deal.
What was new, 9/32?5-6/32 is a lot of tread, unless you can sell them I would wait until clearance or sales hit Walland and the others and change them out then.
I am looking forward to an upgrade, but also would like to get more use out of the current set... don't know how long until I cave and buy new ones.I kinda thought if I was to select one tire brand from good experiences, it'd be Continental.
I am, however, open to other avenues of thought.
AND keep checking!
To slacktide_bitog: Great informative post. a.From experience?, b.You Slime?
