It's rated 16/23, and that's on the "new" numbers. The original numbers were 18/25. You should get solidly into the mid-20s on a road trip, and I should think upper-teens around town.

I need to invest in some Just For Men hair color. My hair just went white.

I know, you don't buy this kind of car for gas mileage; and gas costs are the smallest portion of car upkeep, after depreciation and repairs. Still, in a world of $4.00 premium (around here -- I know it's worse elsewhere), that's daunting.

Still, I haven't driven it yet. Probably because I know once I do, the deal will be sealed.

As I said, if you like tomb like insulation from the outside they are great cars. I used to call my old LS400 the 'Super Lincoln'!

But I really do not like typical luxo car dynamics. To each his own.

I'm sure it will be an excellent car.

they always have struck me as really awesome cars if you want to cruise comfortably. Kind of what an MB S-class should be.

But they lack character, IMO.

"Tomb like insulation" is how I would describe my 2012 300. It's really amazing how much quieter this car is vs my 07 300. The full-body underclading, fiber wheel well liners, and double pane front window glass render a near silent interior at any speed.
