Oops popups and database errors

Lately, I have been getting a lot of "Oops" popups when clicking on Alerts. It also happens frequently when I am trying to reply to someone's posts. The fix is to refresh and try again until it works.

"An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later." is another recurring problem.

I've had a few of those the past several days. Not a huge irritant, though, as you said it's just a refresh and all is well.

I received a few today as well. And a page hang up when it was trying to save changes of my reply. I’ve noted that one to @wwillson

Have you changed cookie permissions from the browser default?

Yes, that's normal when leaving a page/tab active for a significant period of time if the session token has expired. Can you let me know if you get the error after your browser sits for a while or while you are actively browsing the forums?

If you are asking me, it's been happening while I was actively browsing and trying to reply to a post. If I were to come back to a still open window after a prolonged period I would not have any expectations. It hasn't happened since I started this thread!

I suspect it's because of an expired token. I have seen this where the current session doesn't have a current token and things don't work correctly including error messages. Closing the browser and reopening always fixes it for me.
