One Problem with Tire Rack Reviews

My favourite reviews about tires (both here and TR), are people who complain about the tires getting noisy nearing the end of their life. That is purely due to rotation and alignment. That is like reviewing a restaurant, and complaining there was little food on the plate AFTER you finished eating.

The feedback is a great collection of content that can lead to a trend yourself to what you desire in a tire. Perfect item they have on miles on tire as you can throw out too high and noisy or low as no experience.

Yes, the tirerack test of the Cooper cs5 ultra is very strange. All objective test results are very good, especially when taking into account the relatively low price of the coopers. Still, it was considered a failure because of "subjective" test results.

Other tires were considered "excellent in wet" for objective test results in wet as good as or worse than the results of the Cooper cs5 ultra. Still, the coopers are considered only "decent in wet".

Objectively, the Cooper cs5 ultra seems to be better than the General rt43. And the latter tire is highly recommended by tirerack. The price seems to be about the same for both. So figure....
