One car only...forever

I'd have a 2010 BMW E61 M5 Touring.

That BMW wagon above looks nice, but I recall when I picked up my 135i at the BMW performance center in 2011, we put a bunch of M5 sedans into limp home mode way too fast...

Id consider this though...

Love the 2016+ CTS-V, which took on a whole new level of good looks, and if I were asked what sedan, it would be a cross between the CTS-V and an MB E-class diesel. But the CTS-V wagon lines never did it for me.

If it were one car I had to keep running forever, and could never buy another if it stopped...

Then I'd say an MB w123 300TD turbo diesel wagon, or else a late 90s, I6 Toyota Land Cruiser, or a Toyota Previa of the same vintage. Possibly an old diesel K-suburban would work too...

New crew cab Silverado Z71 4x4. If I could only have one vehicle it would have to be a pickup out of convenience.

If it had to be a car I would probably go with a Lexus IS 350F Sport AWD in the Redline color scheme with the tan/black interior combo

Your question leaves out the issue of reliability. Do you really want to keep a BMW when it cost $500 for a new battery or a Porsche when is costs $1500 for a battery and an oil change?
If you add reliability into the equation I will keep my Toyota Avalon. 120,000 miles with only oil changes, new tires and one new battery.

If it has to be bone stock or only lightly modded, it's gotta be the one I have right now. 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3.

A 1986 Mercury Capri 5.0L with manual shift. Canyon red metallic exterior, dark grey interior with light grey factory Recaro seats. Silver carpeting.

Eh, I don't care so much about reliability in the is this case as I do fun to drive and versatility.

I do like the wagons. They do a lot of things well.

My Shipmate had one. It would get up to 80 on the freeway on-ramp in second gear.
