OLM set for worst oil?

I am very impressed with the 2.7 EcoBoost Ford F-150 I drive at work. There are plenty of them being used and abused in the oilfield and lasting beyond the bodies and frames useful service life. And this is coming from a self admitted Toyota loyalist.
 
I don't think that's necessarily true anymore. Many cars...toyota for example have an olm calibrated for 10k loci. There are several oils that technically meet their spec id hesitate to run 10k. Perhaps that's just me...
 
we've replaced turbos in several that have under 200k of highway miles on them...and they've been run on nothing other than M1.

lets be honest....there isn't a motor on the road that doesn't perform well to 125k regardless of service if its maintained. Show me the evidence at 300k...or at 45k in 15 years after some old lady short tripped it all those years
 
I think olm is same as owner's manual oci
Neither knows what kind of oil you are using.

Some OM recommendations can be specific and can be narrowed down to a good oil or synthetic (e.g. 0Wx20 recommrndation). However most OMs just specify xWy which can be available in dino or syn-blend or "full" synthetic (whatever that means) so the oci should be different depending on what you use.

Look up Kia Hyundai engine failures and GM 2.4l balancer chain failures and get back to me.
