Another poster mentioned that your vehicle has a roller cam. I see no problem with what you're doing. We ran taxis that collectively accumulated miles in the millions (similar vintage to your car) running exclusively Quaker State conventional at 6,000 mile OCIs. Stick with what you're doing - it's worked for you already. You could choose a 5w30 or 0w30 if you really wanted, but your experience speaks for itself.
