Older purolator L30001 filters

i have 3 of these left over from a previous vehicle. They are on the older boxes. Probably about 4-5 years old. I just agot a jeep with the 4.0 and saw these will fit.

should these still be ok to run. Have seen that the purolators seem to be of pretty poor quality now. dont want to chance it if there is questions on the quality of these filters. Didnt know if these filters were any better or if there is any concern running a filter thats been sitting in a garage for 5 years?

The 30001 didn't seem to have problems as often as the smaller sizes. I'd probably cut and examine one, then use the other 2 if it had relatively even pleat spacing.
