This car ended up being my first car. My dad ordered this in 1973.
I drove a friend's '67 Fury I with the 225 Slant Six. It was surprisingly peppy.5.2L 318 for the win!
68 Fury 1st car I was surprised how much giddy up that motor had. Went through plenty of mechanical fuel pumps & points/condensor it seemed all the time though.
That was a nice body style... I had a 1973 Plymouth Road Runner...This car ended up being my first car. My dad ordered this in 1973.View attachment 272031
Cool time warp. I will say it's interesting to see items charged for that have been standard for a very long time. 3 speed wiper motors being extra seems crazy. The one that really seems nuts is an extra charge for power steering $113.70 and seems to be higher charge than alot of options. This car ended up being my first car. 4-1/8 stroke!I drove a friend's '67 Fury I with the 225 Slant Six. It was surprisingly peppy.
BiL had the 4 bolt AAR Cuda …How much more would a 340 have been?
Yup, definitely lots of torque for the 225's modest displacement, which probably allowed for its acceptable performance in a full-size car.4-1/8 stroke!
Rember the size of the interior and trunk of those 70's Fury's. 4 guys could hide in a trunk going into a drive-in movie.
The window defogger drew air from one of the 6 x 9 speakers slots in the back panel and blew air on the back glass. If I remember right, it was a 2 speed fan.Love it; rear window defogger, vinyl seats. Special recognition for $63 AM radio more than the $60 destination fee!
(I'll try to dig up the $9,900 sticker for my STRIPPED 1995.5 Tacoma and post it here)
