I used this filter on my Mom's 2008 Honda Odyssey, used it for 2 OCIs, each around 3k, from ~187.5k to 190.5k and then to 193.5k around 1 year in total from May 2021 to May 2022, First OCI was 20W50 Castrol GTX High Mileage, Second OCI was M1 High Mileage 10W40, with who knows how much make up it burns a quart ever 1-1.5k and it lost a few quarts because the filter housing gaket failed during the second OCI of whatever oil I had open at the time. I replaced the filter with a PH7317 and 20W50 GTX High High Mileage but that filter was disposed of since I had it sitting in a sack with other filters and one wasn't particularly well drained and made a mess of all the other filters that I didn't feel like cleaning to cut them open. As always, Classic Ultra, silicone valve that won't ever harden, media looks straight as it was new, yadda, yadda.

Looks like the filter held up to the 20w-50 just fine. You ran the 50 weight to reduce burn off? Did it burn the same amount on the 40w?

I think on 20 grade she was burning about a quart every 750-1000mi, I don't think I've noticed much difference between the 10w40 and 20w50 but it burns it slower than the 30 grade, but half the time I end up topping it up with random 20 and 30 grade oils I happen to have open. I have MaxLife 10W40 on deck for the next OCIs.

Great plan! no sense in dumping expensive oil in if it's got a decent burn rate. lol
