..and a fuel pump. But Im confused how to use the 917.259520 number.
Craftsman site cant even find "LT1000, let alone 917259520. It's a serial number I think, but how do I go about buying a tune up oil change kit from the serial number? I found the sears site, and it shows part numbers of the tractor, but not the filters or a complete tune up kit.

One other question. Which filters did you choose this year?

Thanks!

I wouldn't waste time on a Sears site. You can buy oil, filters and plugs locally at a retail store. Parts can be had at a local ODPE dealer or ebay. There's no points or condenser so there really isn't any tune up kits anymore.

I use a Fram 3614 or 3600 filter. You can cross reference to many makes.

The fram site's parts search indicates a PH8170.. Good enough?
But the fram site wont find a air filter. I think the tractor might be a 2003 because the original manual states 04.17.03 on the back cover.

Edit: Found this post saying a Fram 3614 should work, so why doesn't the fram site say this?

Fram’s part finder will only list the OE equivalent model, which is the 8170. The 3614 is just a longer version, the 3600 longer yet.

Most run the 3614 as a bigger filter will hold slightly more oil and provide a larger filtering surface. It also gives you a bunch more manufactures to choose from. Most OE OPE filters are stupidly expensive for what they are and are generally equivalent to a standard Fram EG orange can.

Do you have a Briggs or Kohler engine?

Perfect, thanks.

I have the Briggs engine.
