Weird how they just LEFT all the valuables and simply LEFT. I don't buy it. You'd have to be a moron to leave all the cars and equipment.

I can see abandoning the building but leaving NEW cars in the showroom... If I worked there and got laid off when everything went down the [censored], I'd at least come back and jack the cars / parts.

Strange story.

It does seem doubtful.

Once at a lake area though, I saw a cabin that was left...looked like more than a year before...with food on the table and everything. Like thye just ran for it and never came back.

Either that or you'd be really smart. Imagine how much money he can get for those cars when (if) he finally sells them.

Put them in some storage or something, don't just leave them in an abandoned dealership.

Do you really think the owner will come back after all these years and be like "i want my cars back"

It definitely doesn't appear "abandoned" - maybe closed all the time with nothing on the lot. It would be interesting to know why the dealer lost its license, if that is what happened. I'm guessing it's just the owner's personal playground now.

yea lol something doesn't add up.

next place up on "Ghost Hunters International"?

yea, kinda crazy to just up and LEAVE a car on the lift.....

Is it me or is that a mid to late 90's Toyota 4 runner in front of that chevy truck? It looks like a wealthy person's "playground" to me.

I'm thinking that MAYBE just maybe this is a form of guerrilla marketing going on. Of course they dealer may have just closed up back in 88, but maybe someone was thinking ahead and thought about what buzz could be gained by having this place sit still in time. It is a tribute to BMW as far as I can tell. This seems staged to me.

It is interesting though. But I do think it is a marketing angle. You know of course you have the "hidden underground bunker" and who knows what is down there.

Yep...guerrilla marketing at its best.

Real estate records are public, at least around here. Somebody who gives a flip should just check the tax roll and then give the guy that owns it a call and find out what's up.

This is just a place for somebody to store some old cars they have. The kids will sell the place and the cars when he croaks.

I agree that this guy that people claim they have met never confirmed that he was the original owner of the dealership. And for all we know the cars could have been put in there back in 88 or in the past few years or so. I believe it would have been the latter.

This seems like a publicity stunt to me. It smells funny.

Exactly what I was thinking! Kind of odd how those tires are not flat after 23 years.

Doesn't look abandon to me! The glass on the bulding is still clean and the parking lot isn't full fo weeds(that I could tell). The place still looks maintained. I have seen old abandoned buildings after only 1-2 years and it doesn't take long for the place to look as though there is nothing there.
