I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado 3.5 5 cylinder with 41,000 on it. I have been running Valvoline Synpower 5w30 with 4-5k OCI. I just switched to Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic-Blend. Will the Maxlife S-B keep the engine as clean with around a 3500 MILE OCI? The reason for the switch was 1) PRICE and 2) AVALIABILITY Maxlife is everywhere.

Sure it will. As long as the PCV is good....no coolant leaking ( heads/intake gaskets)...air filter is serviced.....fuel dilution is kept in check....Maxlife SB is good stuff and will hold up well and your motor will last for a long time

I don't believe there's any reason to change your current OCI due to changing to Maxlife SB.
