Oil useagebetween changes

alot of times because the intervals are pretty long on these trucks you will use a quart or 2 especially with a high load. You may consider rerouting the CV on it. This helps alot and keeps oil out of the intercooler also.

5000 miles or 6 months, what ever is first. I use Delo 15w40 with MC oil filter. I have a few mods on my 7.3, MBPR Exhaust- Straight Piped No Cat Conv Anymore/ AIS Intake. With the AIS/MBPR my turbo whistles a little more and fuel milage a tad better. Engine breaths better.

I have the same OCI... I change my oil once before winter and once before summer... Averages out about 5K to 6K miles. I usually only have to add about a 1/2qt between OCI. It mostly depends on if I do alot of highway driving-->65 to 70mph. I do some towing in the summer months, which it uses almost a qt at the 4k mile mark.

You can't beat the AIS system. You should reroute the CVV and install a High pressure crossover line. High pressure crossover will bridge the 2 highpressure oil rails together and give the ICP more stabil pressure for a better read. If your truck has the rumps in the morning this will help cure it and help the injectors greatly.

Syn- Your results are right where they should be. Mostly you will see a little more oil loss when towing large loads.

I wouldn't worry too much about that low a usage. Especially if you're changing your oil anyway, no need to top off. If you really want to turn up your high pressure oil, get an Adrenaline High-Pressure pump, according to the manufacturer, Dieselsite ( who sell their own crossover line ), eliminates need for the crossover line. Flows a lot more oil and adds to the go-pedal.

Bob has had quite a bit of trouble with the pump. it has come out under 3 different names in the past couple of years. A higher pressure or twin pump system will not give the ICP a better read of pressure as their is still nothing to bridge the rails together to equzalize pressure. Bob ( dieselsite ) has been working hard on the 7.3 and 6.0 pumps. So far their is a 1000HP 6.0 on a stock pump. I don't really see a need for a larger volume pump.

I run the Terminator twin pumps, ITP regualted return, HPX line, Industrial injection 250CC hybrids, Modded H2E Turbo, Comp 910 springs, airdog 150 with 5/8 pickup, and tunes by me. It's fun to find a mustang getting on the freeway

Turbo whistle: one mod I recommend you to do, is the CCV mod... which vents your crankcase to atmosphere. After installing my AIS,a month after I bought the truck, I cleaned my intercooler tubes while I had them off... inside was coated in oil, as well as the boots were coated in oil...I then chose to remove the intercooler and clean out the inside... I was shocked when I let the intercooler drain all night...there was almost a 1/2qt of oil in the pan in the morning. Right then I bought a CCV delete kit. Yes I do have some smoke rolling out of the 3/4in hose just behind my transfer case, but my turbo and intercooler are oil free and clean.

As for the HPX line... My 7.3L idled a bit smoother after the install..As for power increase? not enough to notice... but it is a tad bit quieter at idle.

Yes you will NOT feel a seat of the pant difference with a HPX line. Tyical results are smoother idle and less rumps on startup.

CVV reroute is a must for 7.3's. I have pulls QTs out of intercoolers and still had to flush them with solvent. ITP Diesel has a great kit or you can make your own.

Yup: I bought my CCV delete kit from ITP... Another note.. Turbo If you chose to do the HPX line mod... get it from ITP.. they have a SS HPX line... Mine is a HP hose with braided steal outside... I have plans on switching to the SS line next spring...That way when your traveling, you have no worries or concerns of the HPX rubber line bursting... Keep your plugs in a ziploc bag in your glove box... just in case.

Dennis is a great friend of mine. I live about 2 miles away from him and we do alot of business with each other. Great products and awesome customer service

KCM actually makes the HPX line and all of the lines for the fuel systems. Also here in AZ. KCM sells the HPX for 50.00 shipped.

SYN- have you considered the Pre pump and filter kit. Also a great time to Harpoon the tank!!

DT: I have considered so many mods! lol The problem is.. Im just a simple shade tree mech. This is my first diesel.

I live in a small town, with only one diesel mech and he charges like $129 dollars an hour. So I have to basically work on my truck myself. w/ only a few tools that I have. But I have thought about doing fuel system mods, as well as the harpoon mod... I would love to have a quieter idle and smoother running 7.3L... any advice would be helpfull.

The only mods that I have done so far... CCV mod-HPX line-AIS Cold air intake w/ZooDad mod-4"Turbo back exhaust-replaced 3 sensors as well as the cps. New Hoses-New Belt-New Batteries-Spin On coolant filter-Spin On Transmission Filter--Both from Bob. New front sway-bar and Poly bushings-Bilstein Shox...

Now My drivers side leaf spring is sagging I think... drivers side is lower in the front then the passanger side...by 1 in. Shake that Money Tree!!!!

I would love to drive the truck to Arkansas to Brian and having him install one of his bullet proof transmissions. Just dont have 5k dollars right now.

But any helpfull advice would be helpfull on any mods... esp mods that will help prolong the parts.

My wife has a 2002 7.3 Superduty I just do the recommened service . I don't change things just to be changing things . The engine uses about from the full mark on the dipstick to the add line at a bit over 4,500 miles.
