Oil Type for Cotton Gauze Type Air Filters?

Each mfg of the oiled cotton filters, says to only use their "specially formulated" oil. Does anyone know what type of oil it is, and what is added to make it electrostatic to dust?

It appears to be clear cutting oil (Hercules)... except the Hercules also contains another mineral-based oil. The CAS # for K&N's oil is hard to find.

BTW their aerosole oil contains a mixture of gases and from what I found ONE other component: the oil itself.

It's not a propietary oil at all.

That's K&N's filter oil.

What I meant to say was that the material that has the same CAS # is very hard to find.
