We have just purchased this new to us 1995 Mazda B3000 pickup with approx 156K miles. The truck runs very good and everything seems to be in order. All the oils were changed (PS, AT, Diff.) when we bought the truck and will be again changed after the second ARX treatment to the engine is finished and before we finally put this into severe duty.

We do not have any history on the OCI on the truck but as far as looking into the Oil filler hole and also checked while changing the oil pan that there is not any sludge problems.

There was how-ever a small oil leak from the main seal but that has since been taken care of during the First ARX treatment. We are now into the second cleaning phase.

The truck will run approx 150miles a day on product delivery for our business so I will consider it severe duty cycle. Once the second ARX treatment is finished, we plan to switch over to a good synthetic oil and extend the OCI to 7-7.5k miles depending on the used oil analysis.

I plan to use Esso XD3 0W30 oil in the engine after the ARX treatment and use this oil all year round along with LC and FP. I will be using the same Nippon Oil filter on this truck as I use on my CR-V and that IMO is a good filter. What do you guys think? any further suggestions?

well you seem very confident in your decision to me, and if you have any problems you can always try something else.

good luck.
