According to the manual (LINK HERE), it calls for 5W-20. I'd just use a high mileage version of that unless it uses some oil, then go to 5W-30. It is a 2.3L engine BTW, the 2.5 didn't come until a couple years later...

The B2300 never had a 2.5L variant of the Duratech IIRC
