Oil pressure issue

Not a Chevy guy but Google wonders if the AFM tower passages are safely plugged after the DOD delete? I saw some mention of rivets to keep some holes plugged.

How clean was the block? It only takes a grain of debris to stick a pump bypass valve. Were the cam bearings new? I’ve seen some new ones in a overhaul kit that fit loose in the bore. How is the oil flow redistributed that once was the AFM oil circuit?
Block was as clean as we could get it all wash out with break clean. All the parts were also washed with a parts washer.cam bearings were all new. As far as oil flow im not sure how they do it.

first step is to measure oil pressure with a known good gage.

if it fails the oil pressure test... and you cant find the obvious I have tested for internal leaks in an engine by removing the pan
and using a pressurized vessel that has oil in it and pressurized the lube passages thru the oil sensor port.

never done it at home but at my job we used an air tank filled with oil
I don't doubt a 2 gallon garden type sprayer would work if you can rig up the correct attachments.
