ON, Canada eh?
So my el-cheapo oil pressure gauge I got for $20ish from Princess Auto stopped working.

I kinda new I should of bought a better quality one but I couldn't resist the price and thought I might just get away with it.

Well I was wrong... Now my questions is this...

Because I wired in this one which has an electronic sending unit what would be a good replacement for it that I could just splice into the existing wires I ran.

I'm not looking to spend crazy $$$ like on a Sunpro but I want something that is accurate and that will last longer than a year.

Mehh it's up to you bud but if you want it to last...

in the states here you can get just the oil for under $20 probably twice that their.

With the electronic sender or is it a mechanical gauge with tubing?

I would like an electric one because it would be easy to replace this one with.

I have been using this one for 4 years and 60k miles. I had a sender start leaking where the wire hooks up, but Autometer sent me a new sender free of charge and shipping even though the sendor was 3 years old at the time.

Either one..price around on line maybe you can find cheap on line that ships up to you guy's

I will just get something off the shelf from AAP or AZ next time I'm state-side.

I just wanted opinions in case there was a really good gauge on the cheap.

I didn't want anything but a stock look for my dash, so that is part of the reason for the switch I put in the oil pressure line. If pressure falls too low, the electric fuel pump shuts down. without fuel, I will never run with low oil pressure.

Why did it quit? Is it a bad gauge or a bad sender? Just change the bad part, probably a fluke failure.

It's a bad sender unit because of what's happening and the gauge doesn't have spec's so I can match it with a similar sender from another manufacturer.
