That's the one I use a lot. It should work well. Not sure how long it can be run with a 2.3 turbo? Might want to do a used oil analysis. I would probably at least run a some dino for a few hundred miles, or run a flush.
I try to use the Amsoil EA oil filter, or Pure 1.
A turbocharged car from the days before energy conserving oils with 143k on it? This engine was never made for today's thin, shear prone energy conserving oils.
I'd suggest a "High Mileage" synthetic and/or ACEA A3 rated oil.
Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic, M1 High Mileage, M1 0w40, Castrol Syntec 0w30 and the aforementioned Diesel oils all fit the bill.

Yup those Ford OHC engines have a slider cam that could fail even back when there was still a higher amount of zinc in the oils... Got one out back now that clatters cause the cam is badly worn...
Rotella T6 has more Zn & P than M1 HM.
I think you need P of >1200ppm for that engine. If you want something readily available and for a good price, it's tough to beat RT6.
Or how about a boutique oil? If you're willing to spend money, Redline 5w30 would be an excellent choice.
Or put any good synthetic 5w30 in it and supplement it with ZDDPlus or Redline oil break-in additive.
