I don't think you'll have any issues with using a 5w30 in my opinion. I've used 0w20 and 5w20 supertech in my 2013 fiesta throughout its entire life (115,000 so far) and the underside of the valve cover is still pristine and wear is minimal (expect the transmission to be what takes this car out). I have run a 5w30 in it before with no issues when I had a surplus. I run 0w20 currently since it lets me keep one stock of oil (just like you).
