Thanks for posting. BUT if you find this interesting you need to find the video(s) out there of Afghanis building military rifles much the same way! That is something to see.
The videos of the Pakistani foundries are almost hard to watch. Lots of molten metal splatter around bare feet.
Wow! So many OSHA violations. Hard to even think about how many people there must be in the community, with missing fingers and eye injuries.
And then the guy doing the spot welds. BITOG would have a field day, discussing how many welds are on a filter. Mine only has 4. Well, I've got 6. Is it safe to use?

My guess is that these people don't whine much. I'm sure they should make more than they are paid. They are very used to being on their own so to speak.

LoL, metal end caps don't make an oil filter.
Not according to BITOG for the longest time, until the forum wised up about endcaps, especially since the Tear-o-later days
