Oil Filter Internal Views

Just cut open a Fram TG and an Amsoil filter... how can I post the pictures here? Can't I just download them from my computer somehow?

What's up with that Toyota filter? Is that a bypass filter? I would NEVER put that on any vehicle! Unless I lived where the temp NEVER goes below 200 degres!!!!!

The filter is made from 2mm-3mm thick fiberglass mat, impregnated with some resin material, molded over a plastic skeleton. It's a full flow filter, not bypass.

This is the bypass relief valve. It has a metal-to-metal seal. It does leak a small amount.

I just want to let everyone know that amsoil is no longer using black nitrile ADBVs in their filters anymore, they are only using silicone now. Also, now the efficiency is rated at 96 and I wouldn't be surprised if the overall construction of the filter has changed too.
