I recently bought a 1994 Nissan pickup with the 3.0 motor. It has roughly 96k and uses no oil. My question is which filter should I use? Napa, Bosch, ST? My local oil change place uses valvoline (group 7 I think) and the Nissan place used a freaking Mopar. Any ideas will help. Thanks!!

You could save a couple bucks with the ST, or STP-they are identical. Made by Champion. I think the best all round filter is K&N. Kinda salty but good for extended drain, which is what I do.

Of the many over the counter filters I have used on my 94 Maxima with the 3.0 SOHC, it seems to like the Purolator PureOne the best.
I have cut most of the filters open after use, the P1 and Nissan filter are {almost} identical.
Other than that, I would use a WIX/NapaGold next.

I'm using the STP filters right now in my Pathfinder, which has the same motor (203,000 miles). I have to say I'm very satisfied because I'm not getting any rattle for the first few seconds on startup that I've got with other filters (even in this brutal cold). Then again I've done the Auto-rx high mileage cleaning cycle, which may or may not have something to do with it. I'm using Pennzoil 5w30 as well.
