oil fill level? B&S 8 HP 190432 engine

How much oil goes in a Briggs & Stratton 8 HP 190432 engine if there are no dipsticks?

How am I supposed to know how much oil goes in this when there are no dipsticks? Ive tried to google it and it gives me mixed results. I do not have the manual nor can I find the specific one for this.

I think on those you fill to the bottom of the threads

I think these are supposed to be filled to the top; like a gearcase the hole is positioned so you can add no more once it is full. Later models have a notch cut inside the hole and you would fill to the top of the notch. The threads were never in the specification.

Correct, look up the owners manual. Fill it until you're about to spill over.

Always clean the fill hole and surrounding area, you don't want any of that dirt go in...this is BITOG!
