Oil cooler exchanges heat with coolant

Are you sure of the flow direction? My (I never drove it- just flipped it) TC coupe used a tap off of the head and returned to the pump.

You'll still see a composite of recirculated (bypass) flow and post rad cooled fluid.

At some point I want to install the Police cooler setup on my Vic. It will be awhile though. Im not making the power or driving in the heat that would require it.
