Yes it is in the owners manual and on the Gm web site. I contacted Valvoline directly, their response was. The only oil (that Valvoline makes) that' meets the gm spec is the Valvoline synpower synthetic. To the best of my knowledge GM still requires this spec for the Cadillac cts.
