Just ordered 4 cans off Amazon - about $8 each

I'm still establishing baseline mpg on my fill of Mobil 1 5w-20. I'm at roughly 1200 miles or so. I'll start racking up miles again next week when I'm commuting back and forth to work again.
I think fuelly has my average at 18 mpg mixed city and highway. Once I hit 3000 miles I'll dump this oil for identical oil and change filters and post my fuelly average for the 3000 mile baseline.

Baseline results (with Pennzoil Ultra 10w30 / Honda OEM oil filter)

8-04-2013.....369.4 mi./12.303 gal = 30.03
8-09-2013.....381.5 mi./12.386 gal = 30.80 Overall: 750.9 miles / 24.689 = 30.41 mpg
8-15-2013.....368.3 mi./12.459 gal = 29.56 Overall: 1119.2 miles / 37.148 = 30.13 mpg
8-19-2013.....363.6 mi./12.032 gal = 30.22 Overall: 1482.8 miles / 49.18 = 30.15 mpg

...wish this was going faster...

That is very good and remarkably consistent gas mileage for such an old and high mile car Brule! It speaks well for the quality and durability of Honda's powertrains.

I am making every effort to keep every run consistent, and that includes same percentage of hwy/city driving, zero AC/defrost use, tire inflation the same, and same gas station & pump for filling up.

On a side note, the EPA rates the Si of this year as 25city/30 hwy, IIRC. The way I'm driving is basically 50/50 city/hwy. Weird how every Japanese car I've owned seems to get the highway mpg in mixed driving and every American car I've owned gets closer to the city mpg in mixed driving.
