Thanks to everyone who replied to posting about my 2012 Honda Fit having to much oil put in.
I bought a $1.99 syphon at the local auto parts store and syphoned out 1/2 quart through the dip stick tube.
I know it was probably OK but I was seeing some very fine air bubbles on the stick when I turned off the motor.
Is this normal?
I discovered this on the Edmunds web page:
http://www.edmunds.com/how-to/the-top-down-oil-change.html
I am going to get one and do my own oil change next time.
Thanks Again
Tim

I will soon be changing oil from Kitacam for the 1st time and I will refill it half-quart LESS than recommended to see where it ends up on the dipstick and the next day add enough to bring it to the "F" line (that is calibrated to be 1qt) so I can more accurately measure the "loss" over the next OCI...
