Any season, but winter. I'd rather do it early rather than do it in frozen winter of ours.

Well there's a thought that will keep your pants from freezing to the driveway at least!
I see why spring works for many people , but the abuse that happens over winter makes me change mine in the fall so that I have clean oil over the low temps. So I guess my sweet spot is twice a year. I also want to get the winter oil out as soon as I can as the weather gets warmer.
