when i was about 2 years old my dad drove a hudson ( if you dont know what a hudson is,just go back to sleep) in to get a lube job it cost him extra cause the hudsons used lots more grease fittings than most cars.

Hey, I know what a Hudson Hornet is without having seen the movie and "Doc Hudson." I know what 'Twin-H-Power' means, too.

That said, I'm not really sure that 50s Hudsons had more grease fittings than my '49 Plymouth. From memory I can count roughly 16 in the front suspension alone, another 4 or so in the clutch linkage. For that matter, my Cherokees still have a full compliment of grease fittings but since the solid axle suspension is simpler than the '49s A-frame/kingpost setup, the count is lower.

You can always tell how long a vehicle is made to last by how many zerks are on the wear points.

One of the things I like about my GM trucks, TONS of them all over the place.
