For many years, all i've done was something like 5% city and short trips/35% country roads/60 % highway. OCI is usually between 7500 and 10 000 kms max. As far as oil goes, i've used any cheap 5W30, 5W40, 10W40 and 15W40 depending on what i find in my stash and the time of the year.

From now on i'll be driving mostly in a city, mostly doing errands plus maybe 200 to 300 km of highway each month at the most. I'd say my driving will consist in something like 50% city and short trips/30% country roads/20% highway.

Car is the C180 in my sig, M111 engine which is an inline 4, port injected, N/A, 16 valve, DOHC with a double row roller timing chain, fuel is E85. Would you run a shorter OCI? So far i'm thinking about just keeping the OCI at 7500 kms with the cheap 10W40 i have in my stash (SN, 229.3...). What would you do?

Given your calculations that will take 25 months to reach 7500 kms. I would probably change the oil more frequently maybe once every 12 months and leave the filter on for 2 years.

I guess my calculation in % isn't that great. I used to drive around 30 000 km each year and now it will only be 15 000 or so, maybe less.

2x a year, Spring and Fall. I figure it's all severe service.
What I do normally in large city suburban driving conditions : 5,000 miles / 6 months (which ever comes first) using D1 / Gen 2 synthetic oils . With my GDI engine Hyundai it is 4,000 miles / 4 months (which ever comes first) as the oil is nasty by that time (soot) .

Lotsa short trips and my oil smells like gasoline. I'm running 0w-20 AFE, extracting it at 2500, and then letting the dealer change oil and filter with AFE every 5,000.
